Abstract

The article discusses the issue of organizational data transparency and mitigating its consequences in a world where transparency in businesses is considered a positive. It discusses the benefits of information sharing withing an organization, but stresses its disadvantages, such as reducing creativity and accountability. The article includes mentions of Zappos, a subsidiary of online retailer Amazon and technology startup Shift.
